    Aiming high for Rio 2016

    COMMUNITY

While most of the community support from Westfield centres goes to groups that can help many, from time to time there are members of a community who earn individual support for their efforts.

At Westfield Manukau in Auckland local swimmer Tupou Neifui is one such example in the community, and she has the centre and its shoppers all the way behind her in her quest to qualify for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Working with Variety - the Children's Charity, Westfield Manukau’s contribution to Tupou includes financial support for accommodation, training fees and racing gear.

Now part of the Paralympic New Zealand high performance squad, and the youngest member at that, Tupou is getting closer to her goal of representing her country at Rio 2016. Here’s hoping her dreams can come true with the support of her family, local community and Westfield Manukau.

“We are truly grateful for the opportunity Tupou has been given. These funds will really help with her development in preparing for different national events coming up.”
