Westfield Penrith has partnered with the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Western Sydney University to co-ordinate community conversations exploring strategies to support parents with young children.
With many young families in the local trade area, the collaboration has led to hosted workshops between the faculty and retailers to identify the needs and desires of local shoppers. The initiative is part of a wider project conducted by the team at Western Sydney University in collaboration with a number of Australian communities in order to to enhance families’ early parenting experiences within the area.
Both the team at Westfield Penrith and the centre’s retailers have gained a set of ideas and insights to consider when trying to engage more meaningfully with the shopper.
