Westfield Parramatta experienced a sharp increase in water usage between 2013 and 2014. In 2015 the centre team became part of the solution when they set themselves the target of reducing the usage by 10%.
A cross-functional approach by cleaning, security, mechanical and water-treatment contractors contributed to the reduction by intensively managing the facility with ongoing maintenance.
Overflow in general services plants and any leaks in common mall and retailers areas were identified and fixed.
