As part of its strategic objectives, Scentre Group disposed of seven assets during 2015 including Westfield North Rocks.
As the company prepared to leave a community it had been involved with for around 40 years, it worked closely with retailers and shoppers to ensure it could leave behind a positive legacy as the centre made the transition to its new owners and managers.
Students from North Rocks Public School participated in a project that transformed an area in one of the centre’s docks into a welcoming and engaging public artwork. The team at North Rocks held a final farewell morning tea with more than 60 retailers to celebrate being part of the community over the years, and to thank students for their delivery of the dock ambience upgrade.
